The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to get mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop.  This Web page  than other models on this list making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through cleaning.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in tight corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and works well however this is something you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and also detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and methodically. This will result in an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach a wide range of surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random patterns. You can also set the number of passes it should make, which will affect how fast the device will traverse your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

This device is expensive but has many smart features. However, it's important to remember that it carries recurring costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be changed every one to three months.

The robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad array of physical automation features.  robot vacuum cleaners uk  has the power button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is able to perform mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned however, they mean that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan that it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect a large amount of hair that our cats shed and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were lovely jingles that let you know that it was starting and finishing its work.

The app was too basic and you had to switch the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't contain multiple maps, which could be a problem if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it has some unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock that serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task or recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will need to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
